History and Philosophy

Coach O’s Soccer Camps are built off of the philosophies of Duke Soccer Coach, John Kerr.  John Kerr started KerrCamp in 1999 as the Harvard Men’s Soccer Coach.  John hired Jimmy Odierna first as a camp counselor in 2005, and then to be his Camp Director in 2007.  Jimmy is now the owner and director of the camps since taking over in 2008.  The camp's mission is to offer diversified training and instruction to meet the needs of all ages and skill levels from beginner to advanced. Players who attend our camps receive instruction from some great coaches, players, and teachers in the area. It is our commitment to ensure that every camper has an enjoyable, positive experience. The staff strives to stress the importance of fundamentals, team play, and sportsmanship.  At Coach O's Soccer Camp, the owner/director Jimmy Odierna, takes pride in being on site and working with the players every day.  We do not run multiple camps in one week.  With the recent expansion to two locations for different ages, it allows a greater capacity to get that great camp experience, keeping the experience smaller at each location. Jimmy spends time at each camp (as they are just 10 minutes apart) each day. There is also highly experience regular directors and coaches at each location making sure that small camp feel is still there. Although our options for camp weeks and location might be limited compared to other companies, you can be assured that the camps we do run are at the highest level and your children are getting the quality training and care, and having as much fun as possible!
